The Greenhills Farm difference
Our lamb is born and raised right here on the farm, ensuring a stress-free life until it reaches the abattoir. Our beef spends over a year with us, sourced from neighbouring farms and nurtured with our dedicated care. We feed our animals twice daily, 365 days a year, prioritising their well-being and a high quality of life. All our animals enjoy time grazing at grass, living a natural rhythm. We believe in allowing them to mature at their own pace, not heavily pushing them to fat, and we truly believe you can taste this difference in the rich flavour of our meat.
Our ethically raised pork
Our pork is lovingly looked after by a trusted neighbor, where the pigs are raised outdoors, enjoying plenty of space and natural foraging. They are fed a wholesome diet of pig feed, fresh vegetables, and more – a stark contrast to commercial pig farming. This dedicated approach to their welfare and diet results in truly exceptional pork, full of flavour and reflecting the care they receive.
A day in the life on our farm
A typical day for our animals begins with breakfast around 7:30 am. During the winter months, they enjoy hay to graze on throughout the day, while from spring until the start of winter, they spend their days out on the grass. Their tea is served around 5 pm, ensuring they are well-fed and content. This consistent routine and access to natural environments contribute to their well-being and the superior quality of our produce.
More than just meat
Beyond our delicious meat, we also offer fresh, free-range eggs, perfect for your breakfast table. We have exciting future plans to expand our business and offer even more wonderful produce from the farm, but for now, that remains a delightful surprise!
